Bali Holidays 2007

I went to Bali Island in my long holidays, which was so wonderful and memorable moment. We enjoyed the Goddes Island along 2 weeks for Galungan & Kuningan Festival. Our journey was started from Tanah Lot, then Kuta, Denpasar, Sanur, Blahbatu, Gianyar, Klungkung, Padangbai, Candi Dasa, Amlapura, Amed, Tulamben, and the last is Kubu. But, our nest is in Dewi Shinta Hotel at Tanah Lot, and in Paradise Hotel at Tulamben. We were so lucky having such lovely hotels, which built up being the traditional bungalow with beautiful view around. And the most is, our Hotel closed to the beach!!

Here... I would like to share a little with you all, Pals...

That is The Hole Stone viewed from Tanah Lot beach, or "Batu Bolong" as Balinese calls that stone. We also climbed that huge Stone until the top. There is a little Hinduism Temple there....

We were so lucky, because when we were at Tanah Lot, only our Bungalow close to the beach. So, we just walked in whenever we want to enjoy the beach. Just like this quiet afternoon...

Gee whiz... this is the mermaid of Tanah Lot Beach!! She is in casual attire... see, her sandal! Hhmmm... She must be the queen of Barracuda Fish ;-)

We tried to wake up early morning in our holidays, just waiting the sun greets us! But, of course it was worth it having this gorgeous moment! Oh Thanks God...

When we looked around the city, we stopped at Tirtagangga tourism object in Candi Dasa. We enjoyed a gorgeous water tourism object of old Bali Hinduism dynasty. But, more than that, we can know a day in the life of the Balinese...

The last but not least, this is the Goddes of Tirtagangga, who could only walk into the water with no worried to sink! Even though she is always screaming, "I can't swim!" He he...
Finally... in the last day, I must said Good Bye hardly to my first fave place in my country, "...til our next coming, Bali..."

JANGAN PERNAH MENJILAT AMPLOP ATAU PERANGKO!!

Melalui halaman Blog ini saya ingin sekedar berbagi info penting, bagi yang belum pernah membacanya. Semoga bermanfaat ya, apalagi kalau kita ingat pameo : ” Lebih baik berjaga-jaga, daripada terlambat...”.

”Jangan pernah menjilat amplop atau perangko untuk merekatkannya”. Suatu hari seorang wanita yang bekerja disebuah kantor pos di California, merekatkan amplop dan perangko tanpa menggunakan lem atau busa basah, melainkan dengan cara menjilatnya. Pada saat itu wanita tersebut langsung merasakan lidahnya terasa seperti teriris. Seminggu kemudian dia merasakan sesuatu yang tidak biasa pada lidahnya. Dia pergi ke dokter dan tidak ditemukan sesuatu yang aneh. Lidahnya tidak luka atau tidak ada kelainan apapun. Beberapa hari berikutnya, lidahnya mulai agak membengkak dan mulai terasa sakit, begitu sakitnya sehingga dia tidak dapat makan apapun. Dia segera ke RS dan dokter melakukan pemeriksaan X-Ray. Ternyata ada sesuatu didalam lidahnya. Saat itu juga dokter segera mempersiapkan pembedahan kecil. Ketika dokter mengiris/membuka lidah tersebut, ternyata seekor kecoak kecil merayap keluar!

Setelah diselidiki maka didapat kenyataan bahwa kecoak tersebut berasal dari telur kecoak yang sangat kecil yang menempel pada bagian lem amplop. Setelah dijilat maka telur tersebut menempel pada lidah dan mengeram disana karena adanya ludah yang hangat dan lembab hingga kecoak tersebut menetas. Kejadian nyata ini dilaporkan oleh CNN. Andy Hume menulis:" Saya bekerja di pabrik amplop, dan kalian tidak akan percaya..... . ada sesuatu yang mengambang disekitar nampan wadah lem, saya tidak pernah sekalipun menjilat amplop. Saya pernah bekerja di percetakan (32 tahun lalu) dan kami selalu dihimbau agar jangan merekatkan amplop dengan lidah. Saya tidak pernah mengerti mengapa, hingga suatu saat saya masuk ke ruang penyimpanan untuk mengambil 2,500 lembar amplop yang sudah dicetak dan melihat sendiri beberapa ekor kecoak berkeliaran didalam kotak amplop dengan telur kecoak dimana-mana. Mereka hidup dengan memakan lem yang terdapat pada amplop-amplop tersebut”.

Setelah mengetahui hal ini, janganlah pernah sekalipun Anda merekatkan amplop, perangko ataupun meterai dengan cara menjilatnya. Gunakanlah lem atau busa basah!
